Our Story
Over the two decades since the sale of the family wine business; Brand's LAIRA Wines; of which I spent thirty years helping to establish as one of Coonawarra's Iconic wine labels; I have worked on my own family enterprise establishing vineyards on a range of sites through the Coonawarra region. Supplying premium fruit to wineries within Coonawarra and those with a Coonawarra wine as part of their portfolio.
During this time, I have missed the satisfaction of making my own wine. Now, with my own family working with me to produce premium fruit I felt it's time to select some small parcels of grapes from my vineyards that I know are special and make my own wine.
What more joy and satisfaction can one have from having all of one's family joining in and sharing my passion.

This Season's Featured Wine
2025 Grenache
Colour & Nose: Pale crimson hues, fragrant red and dark fruit (cherry, raspberry), with spicy, floral accents.
Palate: Light to Medium bodied, with concentrated fruit flavours-think rich cherry and plum- balanced by spice (white pepper) a faint earthiness
Structure: Fine-grained tannins and good acidity for structure, offering both vibrancy and potential for quick cellaring
Finish: Long, lifted finish with a blend of fruit, spice and gentle warmth from alcohol
Pairing: A very versatile wine, pairing with both roast chicken and Lamb. Charcuterie plays well with Grenache's fruit and pepper spice. Grilled sausage and barbeque highlight Grenache's juicy core.
