Our Story
Over the two decades since the sale of the family wine business; Brand's LAIRA Wines; of which I spent thirty years helping to establish as one of Coonawarra's Iconic wine labels; I have worked on my own family enterprise establishing vineyards on a range of sites through the Coonawarra region. Supplying premium fruit to wineries within Coonawarra and those with a Coonawarra wine as part of their portfolio.
During this time, I have missed the satisfaction of making my own wine. Now, with my own family working with me to produce premium fruit I felt it's time to select some small parcels of grapes from my vineyards that I know are special and make my own wine.
What more joy and satisfaction can one have from having all of one's family joining in and sharing my passion.

2024 Chardonnay
Appearance: Pale straw with a vibrant green hue, indicating its youth and freshness
Nose: Bright and expressive, the nose opens with ripe orchard fruits-think green apple and a touch of white peach. Subtle layers of citrus zest and a hint of honeysuckle add lift. There's a well-integrated whiff of oak, showing as light vanilla and a touch of toast, suggesting partial barrel aging.
Palate: Medium-bodied with a clean, vibrant acidity. The fruit character carries through with crisp apple, Meyer lemon and a touch of pineapple. A gentle creaminess on the mid-palate, balanced by middle backbone and subtle oak influence. The finish is fresh and lingering with nectarine and citrus
Structure: Balanced, youthful, and food-friendly
Pairing: Excellent with roast chicken, grilled halibut, creamy pasta dishes or soft cheeses like Brie or Camembert
